Description

Grey Hunter is the third novel in William King's Space Wolf series, following Ragnar Blackmane as he takes part in one of the defining battles of his early career and begins the path that will lead him to the Wolf Guard. When the Spear of Russ, an ancient relic once wielded by Leman Russ, is stolen by the forces of Chaos, Ragnar and the Space Wolves are dispatched to the sacred world of Garm to recover it. Their mission quickly becomes more complicated when they are ambushed and discover that the attack is connected to an ancient enemy of the Chapter. As the Wolves fight their way across Garm alongside the planet's defenders, Ragnar and his fellow warriors face Chaos forces determined to bring about the return of a long-dormant threat. A major chapter in Ragnar's development, Grey Hunter expands the series' exploration of the ancient rivalry between the Space Wolves and the Thousand Sons while combining Ragnar's personal advancement with a large-scale battle for one of the Chapter's most sacred relics.
