Description

The very first Warhammer 40,000 novel ever published, and the opening volume of Ian Watson's Inquisition War trilogy, introducing the distinctive, highly idiosyncratic early vision of the setting. Inquisitor Jaq Draco of the Ordo Malleus, accompanied by his assassin, navigator and squat companions, investigates a genestealer-inspired rebellion on the hive world of Stalinvast and begins to uncover a vast conspiracy that threatens the psychic destiny of humanity.
