Description

Novella by Thomas Parrott, published as the lead piece in Nexus + Other Stories, featuring Ultramarines against the necrons. Brother-Sergeant Allectius holds a world under a xenos pall that will not lift with firepower alone. When the necrons change the terms of the siege, he has to take the fight beyond the walls or watch the people he was sworn to protect vanish with the light.
