Description

Ragnar's Claw is the second novel in William King's Space Wolf series, following Ragnar Blackmane's first major campaign as a newly inducted Blood Claw and expanding on the savage traditions of the Space Wolves. When a deadly plague begins ravaging the Imperial world of Aerius, Inquisitor Ivan Sternberg seeks the Space Wolves' aid in recovering the ancient Talisman of Lykos, an artifact believed to hold the key to stopping the disease. Ragnar and his fellow Blood Claws are assigned to the mission, taking them far from Fenris. Their search for the scattered pieces of the talisman carries them from the jungle world of Galt to the polluted hive cities of Venam, with Orks, Eldar and the servants of Nurgle standing between the young Space Wolves and their objective. Building on Ragnar's initiation in Space Wolf, the novel shifts from his transformation into a Space Marine to his first experience of war as a member of the Chapter, combining the Space Wolves' distinctive culture with a fast-moving adventure across the wider Imperium.
