Description

Fifty-first novel of the Horus Heresy series by John French, focused on the traitor host as it musters for Terra. In the wake of Russ's strike, command of the traitor war slips among Horus's inner circle, Lorgar and the surviving primarchs. The book is the politics of that host: who still speaks for the Warmaster, and whether the march on the Palace can be held to one will.
