Description

Wolfblade is the fourth novel in William King's Space Wolf series, following Ragnar Blackmane as he is sent to Terra after falling out of favour with the Space Wolves and assigned to the Chapter's Wolfblade honour guard. The Wolfblade serve as protectors of Navigator House Belisarius, placing Ragnar and his fellow Space Wolves in the unfamiliar world of Imperial high society. When a member of the House is assassinated, Ragnar becomes involved in protecting the family and uncovering the forces responsible. The investigation draws the Space Wolves into a web of intrigue that reaches beyond House Belisarius, while Ragnar must adapt to a role very different from the battlefield campaigns that have defined his career. A distinctive change of pace for the series, Wolfblade contrasts the brutal traditions of the Space Wolves with the elaborate politics of Terra, while introducing characters including the boisterous Haegr who would become recurring figures in Ragnar's later adventures.
